As promised my first secret is revealed today! Drum roll please---------- I will be opening my "Etsy Shop" on Saturday, July 16! It will have a variety of handmade items for home use. I am furiously working on products for the shop.
One more update. I will be renaming the blog to reflect my "other" secret yet to be released and reflect by shop. If you are following me to read about my fiber related chat, please go to my "Warped Fibers" blog. If you are interested to my "quilty" updates, stay tuned for the new name.
All will make sense on 16 July 2011!!!!!

Do You Like Secrets???
Before I tell you the secret, let me tell you what I have been doing!!! Well, for starters.....a lot of sewing. I have completed my "Modern Wonky Quilt " top and pieced backing. It's now ready for quilting. I am planning to send it off to a long-arm quilter.
As I said, I have been busy. I also completed my "Batik Rail Fence". Now I have to get the backing together.
My attempt at a fabric bowl......
Art journalling and art quilting are new explorations for me. I made my first journal book, complete with sewing the signatures and binding the book. Now I am working on my canvas pages for another journal. I just felt the need to try something new. I post pics in my next time.
As for my fiber crafts, I still continue to knit intermittentaly on my "Weekend Shawl" and spin on my spindles. Well that what I have been doing!!!

Love Affair!
I wanted to bring you all up to date about my most recent love affair!! I have just discovered my serger again, Viking Huskylock 910. He's about 5 yrs iold. His name is "Serge".
What brought me to this point was my need to make a pillow case. My very first pillow case! Well, when said pillow case was made, I decided to pull out my serger to finish the seams. You may ask, why not french seams, well I can't really answer that question. Anyway, once I pulled it out, I had to get the book out to figure out how to thread it. Got it threaded, finished the seams and Taaa Daa..........my pillow case!!!!!
Lots more to tell you, but for now, this is it. You see, I have a quilt show to go to today!!! My quilt guild, "Quilters Unlimited" is hosting the show this year. Can you see me doing the happy dance?
